AM: I’m from South Africa. Which should mean that I’m bad-ass. A warrior like Charlize Theron in Aeon Flux. In reality I’m more of a warm hug. The wines I picked are smooth, velvety and comforting. Comfort is key.
What’s the go with the actual wines?
AM: They are all about richness, depth and viscosity.
And the mystery gift?
AM: I haven’t been told what I’m allowed to give away. But I baked Steve rusks, so no doubt he’ll allow me to have the best gift.

LA: Without a doubt the most well thought through mixed case on offer, choosing wines that are best suited to my own personality….
Youthful, classy, elegant with just enough of a grungy edge to make it interesting.
What’s the go with the actual wines?
LA: You should expect power and finesse from the Chardonnays, regional and varietal elegance from the reds and the Ripasso rosé as a curve ball.
And the mystery gift?
LA: And who doesn’t love a bit of a mystery…

BD: I love these wines as they are fantastic examples of wine that is fun, un-pretentious and ready to drink today. This pack's got wine for all occasions too, lighter reds and rosé for when it's warm and sunny, and a couple of more serious wines for that special dinner or occasion. The 5OS Nero got us through a few hard days at vintage this year, so I’ve thrown that in there to remedy any tricky situation you may find yourself in.

THE 5OS PROJECT
This is essentially our ‘Home Brand’. We make these wines ourselves and farm out others to mates, with the intention to create a range of wines that have heaps of drinkability but not at the expense of varietal, regional and vintage characteristics.
