Loom SV McLaren Vale Sangiovese 2016

It probably goes without saying when you’re writing up a wine picked 6 years ago that the odd tingle on the head has been scratched… I love my wines soft and cuddly whilst a few of the more progressive types around the winery are somewhat more masochistic, leaning towards the old world and their oft challenging drinking experiences. Grown by a fella so important to the region he has a golden mile named after him, time has been particularly kind to this wine. The grainy tannins have been somewhat tamed and the notes of worn leather, cedar boxed dry herbs, spiced cherries and plenty else have me finally siding with the rest of the crew and as such here I am… supremely confident that if you pick the time and place you’ll love this wine.
