The 5OS Project 2016 Barbera
$20.00

Colour: Medium ruby with garnet at the edges. Nose: Lively with hints of toffee and flowery herbs. It smells like it's going to be savoury, in a good way. Super fresh, almost like it's straight from the press. Palate: It's clean and forward with the acid in the front row but there is a wall of cool fruit sitting really close behind that when the music dies down will no doubt take to the stage. If you like them young, fresh and full of potential you'll love this.
Vineyard: 100% Barbera from a top vineyard site in McLaren Vale. Winemaking: Two-a-day pump-overs until fermented dry, following which the wine spent 14 months in neutral French oak hogsheads. Vegan friendly.(14%ABV)

Fine, smooth and very drinkable, mid bodied, good back palate, nice acid balance. Great food wine – and excellent example of barbera.

Full bodied, straight up fruit driven. It has a hit but doesn’t kick your back palate and knock you out. Smooth and sensible.
