The 5OS Project Vermentino 2020

We’ve been making this wine for a few years now and having flirted with all types of techniques during the journey. This year we settled with fermenting the grapes until they were dry before settling, filtering and bottling… all of which is obviously real front of the curve stuff. Joe Lopresti is a long term grower and friend of ours, bit a regional pioneer of alternate grapes, all of which he grows with serious attention and aplomb. Steve Grimley, Winemaker & Proprietor

About The 5OS Project

This is essentially our ‘Home Brand’. We make these wines ourselves and farm out others to mates, with the intention to create a range of wines that have heaps of drinkability but not at the expense of varietal, regional and vintage characteristics. They should also look the part, embracing the talent of the respective artists whilst encouraging them to find their own beat.

Aromatics: Touch of Sulphide, lanolin with ripe freshly cut fruit
Palate: Phenolics add a bit of heat and grip, slightly counterintuitive, intriguing
Finish: Not abundantly fruit laden, more savoury and textural, complex
Cellaring: Best before 2024
